Methodology
How the charts are built
Every chart leaves out unlisted apps and Shopify’s own apps. “Coverage” marks a week in which Shoplist’s detection of the app widened, so its place is shown without an arrow.
Real changes only
A store Shoplist crawls for the first time, a new detector, or a store coming back after a long gap is labeled and left out. Only stores that changed their app stack move a chart.
Named rules, no scores
Each chart has one rule, a minimum size and a stated window, shown above its rows. Nothing is blended into a composite.
Held-out days
A spike day waiting for review, or a day the crawler saw fewer stores than usual, is left out of every window until it is checked.
Published Mondays, kept forever
Charts publish every Monday from the trailing complete days. Each week is archived with its ranks, so ▲▼, NEW and weeks on chart are real history.

Weekly rankings of public Shopify apps, each built on one named rule: the apps gaining the most stores, the most-installed, small apps breaking out, apps climbing Shopify’s own category ranks, review surges, big-brand favorites, rookies, Shopify’s featured apps and pricing changes.
What counts as a store adding an app?
A store Shoplist had already crawled without the app that now runs it, or a store coming back to it. A store crawled for the first time, a new detector recognizing an app that was already there, and a store returning after a long gap are labeled and never counted.
How often do the charts update?
Every Monday, from the trailing complete days. Each week is archived with its ranks, so movement arrows, NEW and weeks on chart are real history.
Why isn’t an app on Gainers?
Net stores in the country over 28 days: stores there that added the app or came back to it, minus stores there that removed it. Apps need 100 stores in the country today and a net gain of 10. Unlisted apps and Shopify’s own apps are left out, and the store-movement charts leave out an app while one of its days is held for review.
