How it sells itself

Phantom Markdown shows the reference price the EU Omnibus Directive (Article 6a) requires the lowest price you offered over the last 30 days automatically. It records your prices every day, works out the 30-day low for each product, and shows it as the crossed-out compare-at "was" price, saves it to a metafield for your theme, or both. If a compare-at price is set too high, it lowers it to the correct amount.

When you advertise a strikethrough "was" price in the UK, Australia or Canada, regulators expect you to show the price history behind it. PriceProof records your offered-price history from install, checks each was-price claim against a published benchmark per market, and flags claims your history does not support, with the reason in plain language.

Key points
  • Auto-updates compare-at prices using real sales data — fully law-compliant.
  • Detects the lowest past compareAt to set a legally valid reference.
  • Protects your reference across deepening discount campaigns automatically.
  • Automate by specific products or your entire store in one click.
  • Records your price history automatically from the day you install
  • Checks was-price claims against UK, Australian and Canadian rules
  • Flags claims your records can't back — never fabricates a pass
  • Storefront 'verified' badge on products your history supports
