How it sells itself

KitGrid lets you assemble product kits and sell them as native Shopify bundles. Choose a kit type — 3-pack, 6-pack, or multi-product — then map each slot to a product variant in a tap-to-select grid that reads your live catalog and stock. On publish, KitGrid creates a real bundle component product.

Set up a pattern kit once: which yarns it uses and how many balls each size needs. On the product page, shoppers choose a size and a colour for each part of the pattern, and the ball counts, kit total and weight update as they go. At checkout the kit becomes the actual yarns and pattern, so it shares stock with single balls and each order lists the kit's size and colours.

Key points
  • Map each kit slot to a product variant using a tap-to-select grid.
  • Reads your live product catalog and inventory as you build.
  • Publishes each kit as a native Shopify bundle component product.
  • Orders for a kit arrive split into the component variant SKUs.
  • Show how many balls of each colour a size needs on the product page.
  • Sell kits as your real yarn, sharing stock with single balls.
  • Kits total the exact yarns chosen, so premium colours add to the kit.
  • Add a colour to a yarn once and every kit using it offers it.
