How it sells itself

One slow mover can quietly tie up thousands in cash while your bestsellers run out. InventoryOwl syncs your orders and inventory nightly, then answers two questions: what needs reordering now, and what to discount. Reorder points and order quantities come from your actual sales velocity, lead times, and safety stock. Slow movers and dead stock are flagged with the cash tied up in each and a suggested markdown.

Shopify treats each variant as independent inventory. When variants share stock, you risk overselling and spend hours adjusting quantities manually. PoolSync creates inventory pools that sync to all linked variants automatically. Set consumption multipliers for different sizes (1oz = 1 unit, 4oz = 4 units). Orders deduct from the pool and update every variant. Refunds restore automatically.

Key points
  • Reorder points and order quantities from your real sales velocity
  • Slow-mover and dead-stock flags with cash tied up and discount suggestions
  • Weekly email digest of what to reorder and what to discount
  • Per-vendor lead times, minimum orders, and case-pack rounding
  • Inventory pools with consumption multipliers for variants of different sizes
  • Pool health dashboard showing sync status, quantities, and warnings at a glance
  • Hourly reconciliation detects discrepancies and lets you fix them in one click
  • Safety buffer reserves stock to prevent overselling during checkout delays
