How it sells itself

Every fibre is checked against the official Annex I catalogue in EN, DE and FR, and trade names such as Lycra are flagged. France requires online textile listings to show places of manufacture on product pages. Also covers French place-of-make, environmental scores and EPR audit records. Textile labels, fibre composition.

EU textile rules (Regulation 1007/2011) expect product pages to state a textile's fibre composition using the allowed Annex I fibre names, with percentages that add up to 100. This app checks the composition you enter against the Annex I list in six languages, explains problems in plain words, and displays a validated composition on your product pages in the shopper's language, with English as fallback.

Key points
  • Validates every fibre against the official Annex I catalogue - EN, DE, FR.
  • Flags trade names like Lycra or Tencel that are not lawful fibre names.
  • French places of manufacture, in force since 10 July 2026, article quoted.
  • Checks fibre names against the Annex I list in EN, FR, DE, IT, ES and PL
  • Flags percentages that do not add up to 100, with plain-language reasons
  • Suggests allowed names for trade names like Lycra, Tencel or polycotton
