How it sells itself

Consent Guard adds a cookie-consent banner to your storefront, no code. The app opens the theme editor with the banner on; press Save and visitors get a choice: accept all or essential only. Every text, color and position is editable, in any language. Choices go through Shopify's Customer Privacy API, so consent-aware pixels respect them; a first-party cookie remembers the choice.

Consent Guard opens your storefront in a real browser as a first-time visitor sees it and records every third-party request that fires before the visitor consents. Each request is traced back to its source, whether that is a theme file, a tag manager container, or a script that injected it. The firewall then blocks those trackers on your live storefront until the visitor consents.

Key points
  • One-toggle cookie consent banner, no code required
  • Choices stored via Shopify's Customer Privacy API, respected by pixels
  • Tracker scanner shows which trackers run on your storefront
  • Scans your storefront as a first-time visitor and lists every tracker that loads
  • Shows where each tracker comes from, down to the theme file and line that loads
  • Blocks trackers on your live storefront until the visitor consents, with a switc
  • Supports Google Consent Mode and Global Privacy Control signals

How Shoplist compares apps

Store counts come from Shoplist’s crawl of Shopify storefronts, which detects the apps each store runs; they are as of Oct 13, 2026 for Consent Guard, Nov 2, 2026 for Tripwire. Reviews, ratings, plans, features and integrations come from each app’s Shopify App Store listing. 28-day figures are labeled when estimated, and a figure that is missing or estimated never decides who leads.
