How it sells itself

Your buyers pay with Shopify's own Cash-on-Delivery method at the native checkout — COD Flex never places orders and never touches checkout. When a COD order arrives it scores how likely it is to be refused, from the delivery region, the order value and the buyer's past refusals, and tags the risky ones so you call-confirm or hold them before paying to ship.

Configure when cash on delivery is available and disclose the exact fee before buyers place an order. On Shopify Plus, require fee consent and verify phone numbers by OTP inside checkout. On other supported plans, use Shopify Functions for payment visibility and add the disclosed fee to unpaid COD orders through Order Edit.

Key points
  • Refusal-risk score and a review or hold tag on every native COD order
  • Learns from refused parcels via courier tracking — repeat refusers score higher
  • Multi-courier AWB labels + delivery tracking (Sameday, DPD, FAN, Cargus)
  • Set fixed, percentage, combined, or tiered cash on delivery fees.
  • Limit COD by order value, destination, postal code, or shipping method.
  • Require fee consent and verify phone numbers in Shopify Plus checkout.

How Shoplist compares apps

Store counts come from Shoplist’s crawl of Shopify storefronts, which detects the apps each store runs; they are as of Oct 13, 2026. Reviews, ratings, plans, features and integrations come from each app’s Shopify App Store listing. 28-day figures are labeled when estimated, and a figure that is missing or estimated never decides who leads.
