How it sells itself

Batch and lot tracking for Shopify brands that make their own products: skincare, cosmetics, soap, candles, food and supplements. Receive supplier lots with lot numbers and expiry dates, build recipes and record production. BatchTrail uses the oldest-expiring lots first (FEFO), creates batch numbers and updates Shopify inventory. Every fulfilled order is linked to its batch.

Select live Shopify variants, including products without SKUs, then record lot receipts, expiry dates and storage references. Review eligible stock in expiry order, hold lots, record partial manual order-reference assignments, and keep linked correction history. Export a private CSV ledger. LotProof does not change Shopify inventory or orders.

Key points
  • Receive supplier lots with expiry dates and use the oldest-expiring first
  • Recipes show materials per unit and how many units you can make now
  • Record production to create batch numbers and update Shopify stock
  • Every fulfilled order is linked to the batch it shipped from
  • Choose real Shopify variants, with or without SKUs, for lot receipts.
  • Hold and release lots; record partial assignments to your order references.
  • Preserve linked corrections and reversals in an exportable event history.

FAQ

BatchTrail and Pilot LotProof: common questions

Is BatchTrail or Pilot LotProof cheaper?
Both list a free plan. Paid plans start at $9/month for BatchTrail and $12.99/month for Pilot LotProof. Shoplist compares base prices only between monthly plans in the same currency; usage charges and annual plans vary, so check each plan’s limits.
Where does this comparison’s data come from?
Shoplist crawls Shopify storefronts to detect which apps each store runs, and reads each app’s Shopify App Store listing for reviews, pricing, features and integrations. Store counts are as of Oct 16, 2026 for BatchTrail, Nov 6, 2026 for Pilot LotProof; estimated figures are labeled.

How Shoplist compares apps

Store counts come from Shoplist’s crawl of Shopify storefronts, which detects the apps each store runs; they are as of Oct 16, 2026 for BatchTrail, Nov 6, 2026 for Pilot LotProof. Reviews, ratings, plans, features and integrations come from each app’s Shopify App Store listing. 28-day figures are labeled when estimated, and a figure that is missing or estimated never decides who leads.
