How it sells itself

Merchants selling food, cosmetics, and supplements lose money when stock expires unsold. BatchGuard tracks every lot and its expiry date for each variant, then deducts each sale from the oldest lot first so nothing is forgotten at the back of the shelf.

Perishable stock does not fail loudly. It looks fine until the day it is suddenly worthless. BatchTrack adds the missing layer. Give any product or variant an expiration date, a lot number, and a quantity. One product can hold several batches with different dates, each stored separately. The dashboard sorts every batch soonest-first (FEFO), with 7, 30, and 90-day and expired filters.

Key points
  • Track multiple lots per variant, each with its own expiry date.
  • Sell your oldest stock first automatically as orders come in.
  • Import lots in bulk from a CSV file with a preview before saving.
  • Get a daily email when lots cross your expiry warning window.
  • Add an expiry date, lot number, and quantity to any product
  • Track multiple batches per product, each with its own date
  • Dashboard sorts batches soonest-first with 7/30/90-day filters
  • Email alerts when stock is about to cross your expiry threshold

Store counts come from Shoplist’s crawl of Shopify storefronts, which detects the apps each store runs; they are as of Oct 13, 2026 for BatchGuard, Oct 14, 2026 for BatchTrack. Reviews, ratings, plans, features and integrations come from each app’s Shopify App Store listing. 28-day figures are labeled when estimated, and a figure that is missing or estimated never decides who leads.
