How it sells itself

Take complete control of your label layouts and how they reach the printer. A WYSIWYG editor gives the title, price, SKU, variant options, barcode and custom text each their own position, font size and weight, wrapped in its own box. Print counts default to stock at the location you select. Override any row, or switch to shelf tag mode for one label per variant.

LabelPress prints barcode and shelf labels for retailers on Shopify POS, starting from the purchase order. Drop the PDF of a Shopify purchase order, or a supplier CSV, and every line lands in the print queue with its quantity filled in. Use built-in Avery, Dymo and Zebra sizes or type your own dimensions and watch a true-size preview.

Key points
  • Position, size and style every field on the label independently
  • Print counts follow stock at the location you choose, or one per product
  • Labels print at the exact size of your stock, with barcodes that stay sharp
  • Generate in-store EAN-8s, or EAN-13/UPC-A from your own GS1 prefix
  • Import a purchase order: drop the Shopify PO PDF or a CSV, quantities included
  • Built-in Avery, Dymo and Zebra sizes plus a custom size editor with live preview
  • Bulk quantities: set all, match stock at a location, or zero everything
  • Choose the fields, font and alignment; saved layouts never change on updates

FAQ

Barline and LabelPress: common questions

Is Barline or LabelPress cheaper?
Only LabelPress lists a free plan. Paid plans start at $4.99/month for Barline and $9.99/month for LabelPress. Shoplist compares base prices only between monthly plans in the same currency; usage charges and annual plans vary, so check each plan’s limits.
What features does each app list that the other doesn’t?
Barline lists 2 the others don’t mention, such as GTIN, UPC. LabelPress lists 1 the others don’t mention, such as Custom size. A feature missing from a listing may still be supported; this compares what each App Store listing says.
Where does this comparison’s data come from?
Shoplist crawls Shopify storefronts to detect which apps each store runs, and reads each app’s Shopify App Store listing for reviews, pricing, features and integrations. Store counts are as of Oct 13, 2026; estimated figures are labeled.

How Shoplist compares apps

Store counts come from Shoplist’s crawl of Shopify storefronts, which detects the apps each store runs; they are as of Oct 13, 2026. Reviews, ratings, plans, features and integrations come from each app’s Shopify App Store listing. 28-day figures are labeled when estimated, and a figure that is missing or estimated never decides who leads. Read the methodology.
