About Acconto: Deposits & Balances
Take deposits on made-to-order items. Acconto charges the balance before the order ships.
Acconto adds a "Pay a deposit today" option to your product pages and uses Shopify's own checkout. Customers pay a percentage or fixed deposit, Shopify saves their card, and the order arrives on hold. When the item is ready, release the hold: Acconto charges the balance to the saved card and releases the order for shipping once it is paid. A failed card gets a payment link and automatic retries. Balances can also fall due on a set date or a number of days after the order.
