I installed the v1 in the past and was not satisfied. The work done on option v2 makes it now a top class app - easy to install and use. Even though we used one of the most complex ajax theme, Julian was very responsive and skilled in making it work for us. He went beyond our initial request to make sure it would work as expected. Great product. Great support. I am now going to look at other Bold products.

When you need to collect some data and include add ons. This app is great. Most of my products use the Product options and it’s boosted my sales. On the customer service side, they are extremely knowledgeable and quick, most recently, Within sending an email, Nicholas had already made some changes as I requested within in 25min. A+ in my book.

Does the job - but it's SUPER half-baked. You'll get what you want out of it, but you'll be pulling teeth to do so; and then once you set things up - it's interface is god awful and you'll be confused on what you set up in the first place! But alas - It works well enough, and it's the only option. God damnit.

Love the Bold apps, always work the way we want them to. Customer support is really what seals the deal for me, however. They are responsive, make excellent suggestions on new apps, or how to use their current apps, and they've always preformed better than expected. Highly recommend Bold Apps for Shopify.

STOP. Before you try and install this, look and read all the instructions. See if you can find the code they tell you to change or replace. Do this for each step. I found the examples in directions they provided not correct and the images low resolution, almost unreadable. It took many hours over a few days to figure it out. It is better to pay them to install it, unfortunately. What I can say is that once any of their apps are installed, they do work great and you will love it. If they can spend a little bit of time updating instructions, they should not be receiving any negative reviews. If you do run into trouble installing it yourself and need their help, they will, but it may take a few days.

Bemused Inc. The product documentation is horrendous. It's clearly written to be deciphered by an astrophysicist, but not to an average user. There must be some hidden *modes* in configuring the options. I am literally scouring the screen, page by page, pixel by pixel, trying to locate some invisible radio buttons that are so ludicrously so well concealed! It's been TWO weeks and I am still trying to figure out how to justify my US$19.99 / mth subscription. Obviously, my optimism has been misplaced...

I tested out a number of solutions for providing a custom product building experience and this is the one we went with. The interface is easy to use and powerful enough for complex customization flows. The way options with pricing are displayed is the nicest I saw and on top of that they have support for custom styling. I contacted support to discuss more complex integrations as part of our decision making process and they were absolutely amazing!

I am building a online store that offers custom monogramming and I would not be able to offer my customers a quality experience without Bold Product Options. The app is amazing! In addition, I ran into a problem that I was not able to solve myself and so I asked customer service for help. Well, I can't say enough nice things about Rick. He responded kindly and promptly to my email. He took the time to answer each and every one of my questions and to give me solid, workable solutions. Thank you Rick! Thank you Bold Product Options!

I have given you 2 chances to make this right, i have installed this app 2 months ago and uninstalled it for the unprofessional slow customer service, then I have reinstalled it 48 hours ago and i can still see why i uninstalled this app 2 months ago. What a shame, my only risk was losing $9.99, would never download any of your products ever again even if its a good functional app, if you have a good product and cannot back it up with a good customer service then there is no way to sell that app. Good luck on all your other apps.

This apps functionality seems to work fine and the support team is responsive at first but a deeper looks reveals inadequacies and imcompetance. TLDR--has cost me thousands of lost revenue and a big bad headache I didn't need but I've been trying to get admittedly a little more than basic functionality. For me 1 star seems about right for both execution and service. I do want to acknowledge that they genuinely seem like they want to help and are doing things...it's just a mess and I'd almost rather them not try so I can look for other options or hire someone to do it for me. Long version: The goal: Offer a single product with options that break out into separate already existing items in the cart (like a bundle!) Problem 1: Would update price but not sale price...seems like it should right? Not out of the box. Required a few back and forths but worked with team to fix. Problem 2: Would not update main page feature product to include options just like the product page. Seems like that should be a little more than basic because a few themes are available. Did require some more back and forth but eventually got it. New problem: Cart would not display pricing correctly. This is a bug. Was fixed. New problem: Now there's meta data and random lines in my cart and on the order in shopify. Does it export those random lines to shipstation...yep...no resolution yet because while I was working on this it broke entirely...[see below]... New problem: Broke my store. The cart did not update to correct pricing. No change caused this on my end that I am aware of...maybe it was maybe it wasn't...not going to outright blame Bold but the next part is really f-ed up. So I tried to fix by removing the item from the options. BIG PROBLEM: Now all my store items have the options. ALL of them. And they don't add to cart. Completely tanked my business for a day. They say it's a known bug but didn't warn me or anybody about it. NEXT BIG PROBLEM: Had to uninstall the app. Didn't fix that either. SERIOUSLY? The options were still showing up! So then after all that I am giving them another try. Why? Because I really really need this functionality and there aren't that I am aware other options. So...let's try again from a clean install shall we? Guess what? Yep problem 1 and problem 2 again. I asked specifically to address that so now I'm on email #65 to address something that could have been caught by reading on email #50. READING. It's like there are some robots working there designed specifically only doing one thing at a time and ignoring everything else. AND THEN ANOTHER BIG PROBLEM: Today some of my customers started emailing me that they couldn't check out. One of the people at Bold had been installing code on the live version of the site I think (though they claim otherwise) and I needed to revert back to an even older version of the store. I'm still writing back to them as we speak to explain what I need done...this has been one sick, gross, pitiful mess on both a technical and customer service level. UPDATE SEVERAL WEEKS LATER So it turns out that leaving a 1-star review got someone's attention and I started getting more timely and useful help. They were able to re-implement the App in my store and produce good results that achieved most of my goals. I'm upgrading the review to 3 stars as an acknowledgement of the effort and the effect of the final product. I'm leaving it there however because I believe in the review system and it was honestly really difficult to get this working and caused me so much stress and headache and loss of revenue.

The Bold team was especially helpful in addressing an issue I had with charges being applied to products in my store. It turned out that we needed to update the theme to make the product options work with Pay Pal checkout. Big thanks to Rick and Alexa for immediately responding to my support ticket and also following up with detailed instructions to fix the issue.
