Some of our primary items use this app as we have too many variants. We have been running this for 18 months and since the beginning, about 2% of orders are not charged due to some issue caused by the app. This means that the customer is not charged for their shirts in our case. Our shipping dept has to check each order for this issue and then we have to contact the customer to collect CC info and payment. The problem has never been resolved. We have a developer firm working directly with Bold and there has been no resolution. In general, this app adds a lot of complexity. I would not use this app again. I'm writing this because we are now having a higher occurance rate and I have not heard back from Bold for 5 days. Unfortunate.

This app did work for me, BUT before you get this: First, be aware of the cost difference if you need conditional logic. It's another 9.99 more/mo. and it isn't obvious on the main page of the app. I was drawn to this app for that reason - conditional logic, then disappointed to learn it was more money. Second: if you choose expert install (free), it will take at least 2 business days. Third: CACHING is a very big problem while developing your options. You create an option, go to preview it in your development theme copy, and you don't see it working anywhere because cache has to be cleared. After two days of tech support, they told me cache needs to be cleared, but there is no option for that anywhere. Instead they give you a tech support link telling you how to edit a liquid file. I suggested they add the ability to clear cache somehow. I'm sure it would save them hours of tech support, and the end-user a lot of headaches.

Bold has such an awesome team. I'll always pick a BOLD app over another app if BOLD offers it. They are outstanding and a big part of our e-commerce success. Shout out to MC Guénette for making our site menu look amazing!

I can't even imagine how this app got such great reviews! Don't even know where to start. Firstly, the video you see makes it look super user-friendly. The problem is, that was from Version 1. We're now using version 2, which is completely different and a nightmare. To add icing to that cake, there is no guide, so you're on your own, folks. If you have very basic, straightforward requirements I'm sure you'll eventually be able to find your own way through the woods (maybe), but add in conditional logic and I wish you the best of luck, my friends. And I haven't even begun to talk about customer service yet! I emailed to tell them that the complexity of the app was WAY beyond me, and I have to admit, they tried their best to supply me with a work-around. So I gave them another chance. That was a mistake. When I contacted them through the chat function, communication was painful. I gave up after the first issue and chose to book a call instead. I had to wait 2 days for their "onboarding" call (which was ok) but I waited 30 minutes past the scheduled call time and - nothing. No one called me. Then I called their customer service line. Waited on hold for a while only to have them tell me to "leave a message and someone will call you back". Now, I've been waiting another 35 minutes. Still no call from the "onboarding" appointment either (which is now 65 minutes late). Ridiculous. Just run far and fast to another app. There are plenty better than this garbage.

I updated the Style of my theme and didn't quite hit the mark getting everything squared away with liquid. Cody with the Support Chat was awesome. Got me sent over to the install team and requested a rush to get us back online and selling again. Big thank you to the support team. Will keep you posted ;)

We had an issue with our store where our related products weren't showing. Since our theme was a generic one we had further customized, setting this up required extra code which I couldn't personally figure out. We reached out to Shopify "gurus" and they told us it was an issue with Bold Apps. It wasn't. We initially spoke with Ashley C through Bold web chat and she sent us over to Mona in your Tier 1 merchant success team. Mona is an absolute professional and took care of us very quickly, we were eventually sent to the tier two team where Kirtana took care of our issue fixing everything on the back end and leaving the updated theme in our editor. All we had to was set the theme to "live" and everything was perfect. We cannot thank your Bold team enough for the amazing product and customer service you provide, even though this wasn't an issue related directly to your product you all went above and beyond to provide a solution. Again, we cannot thank you all enough. A great business is shaped by its employees and management and you are all doing a fantastic job, we highly recommend using Bold Products for your Shopify store.

REVIEW UPDATE: Lesson Learned. Duplicate Your Theme Before Installing An App in case there are problems. Anyone's app. It was after hours and I had sent BOLD an email requesting help. A bit later I left the original review. I got an email shortly after leaving the review. They went in and uninstalled the app properly first thing the next morning and were very nice and helpful. I ended up getting a different theme to do what I wanted. This app may do everything you want it to do but it didn't work for me. I think the fact that an automatic install is in BETA and a manual/supported install may take 2-3 days should be noted somewhere before you install the app. Perhaps I missed it and it is buried somewhere in the product description. (original edited on 11/6/18) I installed because I wanted buttons instead of drop down menu for my product pages. After installing I find out Auto install is Beta and the other install can take 2-3 days. I did auto and changed the product selector to buttons. It did not work. I uninstalled the app and my site broke. My product pages filled with code on the live site. When I contacted Shopify for help this is a known issue that comes with uninstalling their app. In the end that is my fault because I failed to duplicate my theme before installing something new. Lesson learned. This may work for you but it didn't work for me and perhaps I did not give it enough time.

The app was fantastic - the only app that could do what we were looking for, we had thousands of option sets that we needed to apply and this one was the only way we could do it. Zachary from support was amazing thru out the whole process and helped in anyway he could to ensure we were 100% happy with the end result. Very impressed with both the app and the service!

We use this app on multiple stores and it's easy to use, works great and the support is stellar. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Had to have expert installation done on more than one occasion and it was always quick and done right. The chat support is also 10 star. Nir and Cody are absolutely awesome to deal with. Love the app, would recommend it to anyone needing to add options to their products. Very flexible and works well.

The process to install this app was easy, I just installed it on the wrong theme. I was assisted by Samuel and Nir who were extremely helpful on helping with the situation. I have yet to really use the app, but if it is as good as their Support team, I am in good hands.
