I never write negative reviews without doing everything in my power to resolve it with the company first. Unfortunately my experience with Bold Product Options has been one of the most horrendous customer service situations I have ever encountered. No-one replies... ever! This extends well before the COVID-19 situation as well. We had the app working perfectly on our website for a long time then it stopped working and they re-applied the settings but not as it was setup previously and now it is a mess. There is coded text appearing against some products and the options are appearing against all products when it should only be linked to certain tags. It is causing us no end of customer service issues and I have emailed Bold more times than I care to count but no-one ever replies. I am more than happy to revisit this review if someone can please help me ASAP to resolve the issues with your app that we are experiencing.

*The BEST product customization app* I thought I reviewed this app already but I guess I haven't! Was on support with Carter and he prompted me to write one so here I am. I've been using this app for a few years and ran in to several issues throughout and the team at Bold are always there to help. I have a ton of complicated options on my shop and they've always been quick to help me fix, troubleshoot, and even customize some of my options for me.

We are using this up to show extra options on product page but I am very disappointed because app does not sync well and I have to do that all the time manually. Also can not sync all collections I have so I can not put 2000 product in collection, I have to add product manually each time I need options which takes forever.

Great support. I am not very good with technical stuff and Naman on the online chat was very helpful and patient with my questions.

I've had this app running on my store for about a year and a half now. We offer up to seven options on a single product and we wouldn't be able to offer that to our customers without this app. It does not work like a standard shopify variant because it adds a product sku to the initial product sku instead of modifying a variant sku. Basically, each BOLD option will show up as a separate line item in the customer's check out page. This works great for us as the options relate to swappable products within a bundle and keeps our inventory system very clean. Having conditional logic also allows us to keep the default options simple for new customers but still allows us to offer advanced options for returning customers offering even more product customization without overwhelming customers. Best of all, however, is their support. They DO NOT nickle and dime you for reasonable customization to their code. Working with one of their support techs is both quick and pleasant. I see no reason to look into other product option apps.

very complete app, had some issues with one of the product options but customer support was able to fix the issue.

The idea of this app is great however it causes major issues at random times. The app support simply don't respond when it gets too hard. Save your money

We use this app to add a custom monogram on some select products in our collection. Works like a charm and customers love to have their products personalized! Bold Commerce also provides a complimentary install service if you should need. In our case, Michael was very helpful in getting this setup properly because of our custom theme. Thank you to the Bold Commerce Team!

Had trouble with the app but Naman was careful and took his time on live chat to help me resolve it. Thanks Naman!

We've been using the app for a couple of years and needed some tech support recently. Vighnesh was very helpful through live chat. We had an obscure problem and his patience in troubleshooting was much appreciated!

The app does more or less what it should expect that express checkout can't be used at the same time otherwise the extra cost from the option selected by the customers if not added to the bill which is deeply annoying as you have to call customers one by one all the time to process the payment. The worst part, once i cancelled my plan with them, they have charged me until the 14.04.20 when my plan was cancelled almost a month before. I believe that this strategy times the number of people using their apps make them a nice millions dollars on our back at the end of the year for free.

Within minutes Daniel had determined exactly what I needed, made the change for me, confirmed it was what I wanted and then showed me where and how it was accomplished. Great app, removes limitations for product options and customisation are easily accomplished by speaking to support, Daniel sorted everything for me in super quick time. highly recommended

It's great app. With Bold, i can add the customize input to collect my customer's opinion. And i also appreciate Mayank, the guy who help me with this.

This team is great. I set up some quite complicated bundles on our store and connected with Chintan, Rick, Samuel, Daniel, Carter, and I'm sure a handful of other members of the Bold team throughout the process. They are always extremely willing to help and ready to jump in. I am so appreciative of them—I probably called Rick at least 5 times with questions during our setup process and he (and the whole team!) was very patient with me.

The app is not user friendly. But Sam, the customer service person is by far the friendliest customer service person I have ever dealt with. Thanks Sam!
