It started well but then suddenly stopped working. It deleted files and I was unable to upload new ones.

NOT working! Promising the setup was, maar it does not what it promises... 404 Page Not Found The page you requested does not exist.

stopped working..can't add any more digital products..was working when i first installed it...don't know what happened..

As far as APPs go this APP is okay. It is buggy in the back end if you try and update / revise attachments, you may find yourself using Dropbox and Chimpmail to deliver revisions if you want a real confirmation that people are getting them. Also there is no record of files being sent in the customer order timeline, which I see as a major flaw -- it should show (a) that the attachments were sent and (b) that a revised copy was sent and the date sent. There is no way to even inspect a record of sent digital items. The upside is -- it is free. But with free you get what you pay for. Also the file size limit is 5GB, much much larger than SendOwl and others who would charge a considerable sum just to send a large file for you, so in that regard, once again it is not a bad product.

App doesn't load, constantly telling me its my browser after clearing cookies, history and updating everything it still doesn't work.

LOVE IT and easy to use (for me &) for my customers for free digital files and paid digital files. DEFINATELY worth having!

This is great! Works a treat! The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars is the email to download the file is butt-ugly and can't be modified. Other than that - this is AWESOME!!!!!

what a useful app, works well for the need of my store, www.artatler.com, an art marketplace! It does help to allow me to sell digital items. It's light. I should have listened to the reviews. Worked for an hour to get the app going with a product then it wouldn't deliver the download. Awful! Shopify should have something better than this do deliver digitals!

App doesn't work...don't use it! Not worth the headache and hassle of resending customers the product

Terrible my customers keeps complaining that the app won't work! I think its a glitch with the app.

Doesn't Work over a few GB & support takes days to reply, although it doesn't tell you this initally, and will let you spend hours uploading before stopping it.

I really love this APP. Team please add the ability to add 3-5 files to each product so that the buyer can choose what they want to download.

Basic app. Mostly does what it says for free but has some significant drawbacks. The basic setting is 'unlimited instant downloads'. If you have mixed products which include a download plus a physical product, or if you want to limit the number of downloads per purchase, you have to reload the app page and edit each item individually. There is no way to change the basic setting - very annoying when you need to change it for every single item. Update: Having used this app for a while now and find it does not work consistently. I too often have to email customers the downloads because they can't access them. Have now also installed Sky Pilot and find that a much better app. Have deleted Digital Downloads.

I want to love this app. And for awhile, I did. I've been using it for a few years now. But recently, somehow my digital products are having the "this is a physical product" field mysteriously checked in the admin product pages. I am NOT making this change. It's some glitch. And you know what happens when that field gets checked? The Digital Downloads app deletes your file- without you knowing. Until, that is, your customers complain that that they never received the download link for the product that was blatantly described as an "instant download." To them, it feels like a bait and switch. And I have no doubt that this glitch is affecting my conversion rates, because once a customer goes to checkout, if the file has been deleted by the app, it tells them that their "download" product will be delivered in 6-8 business days! Hello, abandoned carts. I continue to work with support to get this issue resolved. So far, nothing has worked. Am I the only one experiencing this glitch?

We installed this app as we have several ebook type products on our store. It works perfectly, automatically emailing our customers with the link to download without us having to do anything. Only downside is that when you have a mixed order, with both physical and downloadable products you either have to manually email the customer a link or remember that even though the order has been marked "fulfilled" you still need to ship the physical products.

I find this app really quick and easy to use, once I got a good feel for how it works. I have had no issues with it so far and have been using it for a few months.

great app and seems to work about 70% of the time. usually delivers but sometimes fails to do so. Its also got a little bit of a small file size limit making it hard to use for most digital download videos

Awesome app. As you can see all of the bad reviews are from way back years now. This app has improved a lot now!

Great app - need a few changes !! * Need to add a Clear or Delete option to the Download Dashboard !! * Payments need to be verified BEFORE sending the download link !!

Customers can't resend the email to their email accounts if they lost the first email with the download link...
