It is Just Perfect ! Free and easy to use

It's a very great start to a digital delivery service. It is a bit clunky and would be very nice if we could load more than one file to be downloaded. It would cut down on a lot of support time spent describing to people how zip and pdf files work. It would be even better if we could also have this just integrated into the listing instead of having the separate app. All in all, it's pretty cool if you only have one file. Thank you so much for your work. Please keep on improving. Excellent start.

It's great when it works, I sell digital products with large file sizes (average 3GB) and my uploads get interrupted about 70% of the time, the option to sync to dropbox or google drive for reliable uploads would be a great addition to the shopify digital downloads app. otherwise this is a GREAT app, there are a lot of paid apps out there but are very limited when it comes to file size and storage space and they are very expensive. as far as I know, this app has unlimited storage which is pretty amazing in itself, plus its free! (I would pay for this) note/tip to users running Adobe CC: if you are uploading large files and get cut off, try disabling or lowering its upload speed, it pings the Adobe server at random times which can cut your uploads to shopify really quickly.

Work great but the notifications email should look more professional and a download link in the user account would be a really nice addition because resending an email because the customer lost his download link is counter productive

It does the job, but it would be very helpful to set the download limits at a global level instead of individually. But, most importantly, I'd love to be able to add more than one file. EDIT: I'm increasing my star because I found I can attach a zip file. My only wishlist for this app is that we have the ability to send a note to customers when we update the file giving a summary of what changed.

The Good Simple interface, ideal for attaching pdf instruction manuals or rebates to products. The Bad No customization No sorting options No way to purge items from the list without editing individual products and removing their associated files After adding a digital attachment to a product you must refresh the page to change the settings on how that digital file is delivered. There is no way to configure default settings to apply to all products you carry. If you use SmartVendor-Shopify E360 removing products with smartvendor breaks the list and leaves phantom entries. There is no way to remove these entries. We are looking at completely removing the app and reinstalling it to try to fix/simplify the list. When we asked about future development we were referred on to a $40/month product that does not work well with stores that have a large number of sku's. We have 4000+ so it would not have worked for us. No way to attach files to a parent item and all it's sub-variants. Even if all variants use the same file they must all be added individually. This is all disappointing. The app has a huge potential as an improvement in the system but Shopify seems to be more interested in farming it out to third party developers.

Well, It's free but it's also essential to use shopify for digital products. They need to do so much work on this app though. We need to be able to see when a customer has downloaded and from which IP address with order details. I can't delete files for the digital products that have been removed, they are still in the list! The stat's page needs a complete redesign. Need a global setting for download limit. The list goes on. It does do the job, but needs some love to make it great! Updated review: After about 3 months of use - there are problems with large downloads not completing and the downloads are very, very slow, unacceptably slow in fact. This app is probably OK for small files but for anything over 250 MB I would look else where. Also, the email address that the download links come from often gets rejected as spam resulting in the customer not getting the link and YOU have to manually create a link and send it to them - not good if you have 100's of orders a month! I will have to move to a PAID app, but that is probably why this free one is so restricted isn't it Shopify?

Effective. Works well. Wish it could do this, however, but I don't think it can: Sell 'drip' products where files are released over a series of days/weeks/months.

I couldn't do business without Digital Downloads. All my products are digital and this app handles them all, integrating faultlessly into my store and allowing downloads immediately after payment from Shopify's checkout and from the email sent to the customer. A bulk upload feature would be handy for getting all the files into the store quickly. But hey! Doing them one by one is a good activity for the end of the day when you're brain-dead and shouldn't be tackling anything requiring intelligent thought.

It works well, but it would be great if the text was customizable to other languages.

The app functions as it should, the only thing that could be added is the ability to delete old products out of the app, besides that app works perfectly and as expected!

Great app, very easy to use and it has been working very well for us. My only complaint is that it would be nice to offer more than one file. If I wanted to sell a bundle of books/downloads, it would be nice to be able to do that.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!! I literally just downloaded it for 2 seconds and it began breaking ALL the images on my site. After removing it, a few came back but now, even when I deleted the broken images, and upload new ones, it breaks those too. I had so much planned for today and this app just added several hours of work for me. Worst download ever. Save yourself the trouble, it's going to cost you time and money. No wonder it's free.

Basic, the price is right, because paying for this would be a robbery.
