Reviews for Shop

I make a lot of money from the Shop app. I think Shopify asks for reviews after they purchase something because I have a lot of reviews. It seems to make people put in details along with their reviews and doesn't do just ratings because all the reviews are high quality. I don't know why this app channel has such bad reviews. I am very pleased with it!

I like this sales channel because it supports my sales and publicity. I also like how it is easy to work with when I need to make changes to my store's presentation.

Shop is easy to use and navigate and is a good option for shopping and browsing through Shopify stores.

Wish I could give 10 stars. I had a small technical issue and David in support took his time to understand it, work with colleagues and in five minutes it was fixed. Plus I've had 30% of my sales from the Shop channel so it works. Fantastic guys thank you!

this app would be 5 stars if the reviews were integrated with our Shopify website product reviews. otherwise I am happy with the amount of reviews this generates!

Great for organic traffic. Our organic traffic is increased by 50% after listed on Shop. Moreover it collects the review and published it which is another plus factor. Customers can also track the orders easily. Highly recommended.

This app is amazing, my customers love how easy it makes it to check out. It makes it just as easy as using apple pay at checkout.

Customers cannot find my store on this app. Plus shoppay tries to force customer into only using it. Shopify need a one page checkout so that customers can CHOOSE the payment method they want to use.

This is the worst app, get ready to lose customers if you are installing this.....I got back t back chargebacks from customers, when i contacted the customers they accepted that yes they got the order but on their credit card bill there was no name of shop or business or no any such details...can you believe this idiocy?? Did shopify just launched a teenage app??? lastly, who authorized shopify to install these crap apps for no reason? I didn't install this app but i had no idea what was happening until i got screenshot by customer that there was no name of business or anything just random charges........I wish I could sue this app and those who install these apps on all stores without any knowledge of the merchant......

If you are a merchant think 5-times before you add Shop to your store. We had a customer who opens a dispute saying they did not received their order when we have an email confirmation they did receive their order. A month later they opened a dispute, we do not get any notification from Shopify nor Shop but an email from AFFIRM. We would never open this email thinking it's a scam since it states "Affirm Dispute Open One of your customers has opened a dispute regarding the following loan." We are waiting for this to be resolve to remove Shop from our store.

Creates a basic and attractive storefront for Shop app shoppers. It is pretty easy to set up and manage.

Who does Shopify think it is that it can just install this app in my store? The absolute nerve. They spend all their time pushing garbage but when you need assistance, where are they? Making sellers jump through hoops and then not providing any assistance. Do not install another app in my store without our express permission.

I got scammed by a customer who raised a chargeback against his purchase straight after the product was received. I contested the chargeback, but unfortunately, the customer's bank sided with their customer. Shop disabled my store from being seen by customers for 1x raised chargeback in 6 years. This app surely has high expectations from its customers when the app lacks customisation and functionality. Goodbye SHOP! Update: I was going to deactivate so I could delete the channel but app wouldn't even let me click on the deactivate button.

The Shop app has some good aspects to it, but in our case its absolutely useless as Shopify has decided to not allow shops who at any point has received IP claims to join. I understand the general idea of this and the intention to keep copies out from Shop, but as a side effect it also shuts out sellers who have been targeted by claims without legal basis like in our case. This policy also apparently does not have an expiry date, so it's enough you have one claim, no matter how old it is. By doing this Shopify basically takes the side of the claimant, no matter how unfounded and unjust the claim in itself would be. Like always the side effect with blanket policies like this one is that there will be a lot of non-deserving merchants affected by this, and there is nothing you as a seller can do about it. The only way to solve this would be to take the issue to actual court, which obviously is beyond the possibilities for many small merchants around the world like ourselves. I find this policy and it's enforcement so unjust that it would be impossible to rate this app with more stars. What makes this policy even more absurd is that it only applies to the actual shop which received the claim and not the company. So we have two instalments of our shop for different markets, and one can join Shop while the other can not. That means that if you really would be a business operating in bad faith you can simply just set up a new shop to circumvent this if needed be. The reason I give this channel two stars instead of one is that it actually offers some ok features and works fairly smooth - if you are accepted that is. You can of course use some of it's features even if you are not eligible to sell on Shop, but it's still a bit of a slap in the face for any merchant who actually would like to list their products but are not able to due to blanket policies like this which is enforced without exceptions. --------------- EDIT: 29.3. Shopify posted their standard answer to this, which helps nothing. We have discussed this issue extensively with both Shopify Shop support and legal, and like mentioned above the only solution would be to take this case to US court and have the claim removed that way. Shopify Shop support agrees that this is an unfair situation, but can do nothing except ask you to contact legal - and legal only replies that they do not offer legal advice. The optimal solution to this would be to offer merchants who feel unjustly treated some kind of a channel to dispute the claim within Shopify (other than going to court), and that way at least get access to the full Shop experience on a case-by-case basis.

This could be the best app these legends have made, though still early days. Let's see if it works overtime, and without me having to sell my soul to the data gods.

Super annoying that the Schedule Availability feature is not active on this Shopify developed app. All the other sales channels base availability on the inventory of the shop itself. But this app ignores the "Scheduled Availability" and ignores the stores inventory. Kinda Dumb!

I did not install this App, and quite frankly, I'm absolutely not happy that Shopify thinks it can just push my store's contents through a marketplace of their choosing.
