I've been using Bold to update pricing and product options on our website. Overall, the app is very easy to use. Any issues I ran into were quickly and easily addressed through their awesome customer service. The only thing that has caused some issues is that the option sets I created are not listed in alphabetical order or date modified. It can become difficult to navigate if you have many options like I do. I'd give the app 5 stars if that was fixed!

The Bold Products option App does not work well with some other Bold Apps. However, As far as I can tell this is a fault of Shopify. Their support team have been very helpful in getting done what they can, Shout out to my support guys Dylan Bach and Ryan who have provided 5 star service and reply time, even though the app they is supporting could use some work.

I've been using this app to implement required checkboxes on product pages that customers need to agree with before purchasing. From shipping timeframes to specific details, this app gets the message to the customer in the easiest, most direct way. I had some issues, but Alina & Camila at Bold were a huge help. They assisted in a timely, professional manner and ironed out some miscommunication.

I love this app because it does what Shopify cannot... and allows me to create more than 99 variants for a product. My client has an infinity of options and the Product Options app is pretty easy to use and has so many options, there's really nothing it can't do. AND, I love that when there is an issue, they jump right in and help with amazing customer service! I use several Bold apps, and I cannot complain about any of them at all.

We simply could not function without Product Options. Many of our products are custom made and bespoke. Clients have a myriad of options, many of which depend upon what they select from each dropdown. Bold's conditional logic allows us to offer the available sub-options for each selected option. Some of our products have high-hundreds of possible options (variants) and this is the only way to overcome the 100 variant Shopify limit. Additionally, the UX is certainly much more attractive than would otherwise be possible. We had an issue with options not adding to cart. Jeff in Bold support went the extra mile and investigated it thoroughly, finally finding the issue in our theme code. Thank you, Jeff! We've used Product Options for almost two years during which time we have only had two issues. Both have been fixed by Bold. Highly recommended app.

I had trouble syncing my website to some options I added to the products page, and being a not-so-tech-savvy person, I had my issues. I reached out to Bold Product live chat, and I got connected within minutes with a nice gentleman name Ryan. He pointed out where I should fix my errors, confirmed that the conditions I created were all correct; and all I needed to do was to wait for the sync to complete and the products will be ready on my website. He was very patient with me the whole time, which I really appreciate. The website is running smoothly again! Thank you, Ryan!

i have been using this app for a few months now and at first the customer service was great and product working well. HOWEVER, I tried to create new options on a new product and it is not working properly now... i've contacted customer service multiple times and the responses have been seriously lacking. i get one response per day asking questions that i've already answered multiple times to different people... which drags out the issues even further. In addition i have another ticket that has been outstanding for 3+ months.... with no resolution..... general jist... the app is more expensive than most apps on the marketplace for this service and I wouldnt mind paying it if theyre customer service was better. but when i have an issue with an app that impacts my revenue, i would expext PROMPT resolution.

When Sandy Steven Engravers (www.SandyStevenEngravers.com) was building it's e-commerce store on the Shopify platform, it's sales funnel needed to add numerous engraving and customization options to the jewelry, accessories and gifts sold online. We had several requirements for a product page, which included numerous text fields, ability to upload images, text field limits, size variations, variants that add on additional charges etc. Another important requirement was not to visually overwhelm a prospective customer with numerous fields on a product page and to maintain a minimalist and clean page layout. These conflicting and complex requirements at first glance suggested having to hire a developer. However, we did not really want to do that, because that traps you from a business point of view, especially when you need to be nimble on the web. Shopify options alone, did not provide the functionality we required so we looked to the App-Store ... We inspected and looked at example sites for each and every product option app available. We did note that most people wanted simple to use, that is understandable, mainly because their customization requirements are comparatively less complex. However none met up to the functionality and customization features offered by the Product Options app from Bold Commerce. We noted several comments from other user reviews complaining about difficulty and confusion when trying to integrate this app, which again, is understandable. This app takes a bit of careful thinking, pre-visualization of process, and understanding, especially if you want to handle complex options for a single SKU. However, once you set up a few, it becomes pretty easy. We did have a few issues at the beginning - actually, they were more like growing pains, and like those who have complained in other reviews got a little frustrated, but customer support was rock-solid from Bold Commerce. They want to keep you as a customer, and we had several of their agents look into whatever issues we had in setting up ... and we did it all via email. You can't ask for more from customer service than solving your problem. Sandy Steven Engravers has utilized the Product Options app for over a year since launching our website, and it has been an invaluable add-on for our website and has made customizing engravable fine jewelry and gifts simple to do online by customers. We give this app our highest recommendation. Update - July 15, 2021: In 2021 we needed to upgrade to V.02 of Bold Product Options, following a theme upgrade to our Shopify store. We were facing multiple technical issues which were there on one day and when you check back the next it's not - you guys know what I mean right? Well despite all these confusion and frustrating technical glitches Bold was again "Superb". Grant was our "main man" - not only did he begin by looking into the existing problems, identified the issues, and sorted them all out before beginning the upgrade. He went out of his way to explain, differences that our store would experience and provided guidance to ensure that our existing options were structured correctly so that they would upgrade to V02 without any issues. And it worked! The most notable experience was that we had reassuring hands-on technical assistance every step of the way, and the Grant took time to provide in-depth answers to our many questions during the process. This is a rare service to find in the industry, especially if you have limited coding knowledge. Our sincere thanks to Grant and our highest recommendation once again (now 5 years running) to the Bold Product Options App.

Edited 2021: So almost 4 years later, I still use the service and the support still rock! Honestly, very simple to use! a lot of options are available. i've use the support and jordan and julian help me to resolve an issue which was not even due to bold options !! love those guys

So, I've used several different product variant tools, and have tested at least every single one of them that matches my needs (10-20 different apps). This app by far is the best. It's easy to manage and very stylish on the product pages. The best part is, by far, their customer service. Dylan and Grant have both been amazing. Dylan really helped me get the product variances to look exactly how I need them to look for my store. This was a feat that was like pulling teeth with other apps that took several weeks worth of communication. Dylan crushed it in less than 24 hours. My team and I were STOKED with how fast our inquiries are answered by the Bold Team. Grant's thorough communication has been amazing. He keeps us up-to-date when we have things being worked on and when things are ready for review or have been updated. Honestly, I typically hate working with app development teams, because it always takes a painstakingly long time to get things resolved. But, they're so responsive that it's like the Bold Team is an extension of my own team. It'll be a really hard sell to see me walk away from using their apps.

Can't apply options modularly; have to make a whole new set for an item if it has just one tiny difference. If you have a large catalogue with variations expect to be reinventing the wheel over... and over... and over. Changes made in app can take 30 minutes to appear on the site, or not appear ever and require developer intervention (this is a showstopping problem! Especially combined with...) Conditional logic stops working on random widgets of random products and need to be caught, unset/reset in app, typically when a customer takes the time to notify us that something isn't working right. Setting up conditional logic requires visiting two separate places in the app, which is slow and tedious. Ridiculous design choice really. Why two stars? We came from Infinite options, and this was a huge step up from that. We used this and dealt with its shortcomings for over a year. For those weighing options, give W3 Product Options a shot. The staff replied to us within minutes while they were open, with a well thought-out response, and a comprehensive fix from the get-go. Since getting everything situated just right we've had absolutely zero snags that weren't us setting something wrong (redoing the logic on our site was a >24 hour effort, we were exhausted). Their backend is better designed, widgets more functional, whole system works faster. They allow options to be assigned to products a la carte, which has netted us insane gains on upsell efforts, enough to pay for their monthly subscription ,multiple times over, daily.

I've been using this app a little over a year. At first, I felt this app was too expensive but over time it has been very valuable. I only use it for one product, my best seller, and the options for customization that it provides are great for making sure my customers get exactly what they want. When I recently switched themes, the Bold team made it so easy. Two times now I have needed their help with code customization issues and both times they have fixed everything on the back end very quickly, making it stress-free for me. Worth the cost!

Challi or whatever their name was couldn't be bothered to review any information - instead of reviewing and proactively assisting - they just passed me back to the original person without even trying - nor was confident in their knowledge of the product. There is very little to no Feature Set examples - because they chose not to make them. I spent $20-$30 and a ton of time to recognize the flaws and lack of information and still have been asking for communication of which I have received - none I have been on chat, sent email and lastly am here - because where else can I go? So this is the only place maybe they will reach out and solve the communication issue
