I thought that since Shopify was an integral part of Google, the integration would be quick and easy, on the contrary, terrible service, customer support and vague automated responses. I managed to set up Google Merchant Center through this app, and my account was automatically suspended on the second day, due to "policy violations" with no clear explanations. Without direct communication, only by email it takes days for an automated response that is not understood. The reasons given, such as "the website needs improvement" and "misrepresentation", are vague and, despite my attempts to resolve these issues, I have received little to no help from Google or the app's support team. It is frustrating and I still do not understand why my account remains suspended. I have tried to fix this but the lack of clarity and support is disappointing. I was expecting a smoother experience from a platform integrated with Shopify, but instead, it has been a headache.

This app is terrible. No matter what I do I get errors trying to connect to my store. I've ended up deleting my entire merch account and starting from scratch. After all that work, and after reinstalling everything I'm getting the same error. In shopify it says someone else has my domain. When I click to transfer it, then I get errors in merch center. This app is garbage. Hi - it looks like you connected your account yesterday morning to Google Merchant Center through the App. This may have been the new Merchant Center account you set up, but the website and domain are claimed properly right now. I’ve encountered with the Google Merchant Center integration on my Shopify store. Specifically, the GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) for my products is not syncing properly with Google Merchant Center, which has led to limited product performance and visibility. Hi! For products that are not custom-made, you can add either a GTIN or your MPN right in the Shopify product UI. These need to be valid GTINs, which are often 12 or 14 digits. Right now it looks like you're sending 8 digit values that don't have a valid lookup and/or are failing the check digit logic. You may want to validate that these are accurate GTINs since they're being rejected by Google as being invalid. You could use MPN as your identifier instead if you're certain you do use GTIN-8 values. To add a GTIN to your products, you'll want to go to Products > select the product (or bulk edit products) > enter in your GTIN within the "Barcode (ISBN, UPC, GTIN, etc.)" field If you don't have a GTIN, but have an MPN instead, you can Bulk Edit by going to the Google & YouTube App > Overview > Bulk Edit Variants and filling the "Google:MPN" field. On an individual product, simple scroll down on the product page and you'll see "Google: MPN" in the Metafields section. No conversions or events of any kind are sent to Google, and Shopify provides absolutely zero support. Google also provides zero support. Why even have this? Who is it for, people that don't need to track data?

Regarding Google Analytics: despite saying connected, no data reflected in google analytics. Solution: manually install the tag for data to reflect on Google Analytics dashboard.
