We originally wrote a 5-start review but that was mostly down to the very good support that we received in setting up this app. Now that we've been using it for a while here's a more accurate review. Like too many of these Shopify apps it simply does NOT do what it is supposed to do. Integration with Shopify is awful and had has cost us 100's of hours in unnecessary customer support where the free gift hasn't triggered. We are still using the app ... but that's only because we haven't really had the time to search for something better. Certainly would not (and have not) jump at taking any other apps from these guys. Just too full of bugs and shortcomings. It's about a year since we started using this and haven't seen any real fixes for the terrible deficiencies. Shame. Could be really good.

Secomapp's Free Gifts app is a fantastic concept with almost perfect execution. I've been using their app for well over a year now and have seen it evolve. The team is always responsive when it comes to customer service. The app is very flexible and allows for a lot of creativity with promotions. My only 2 gripes are when a customer meets the criteria for a free gift, it can sometimes take a few extra seconds for the gifts to load in the shopping cart, which, from a UX standpoint results in the occasional customer complaint. Also, if I'm offering free gifts on two separate products, it gets confusing as to what the customer is getting and why. All in all, I'm happy!

We absolutely love FREE GIFTS by Secomapp app for Shopify. It - seriously - does everything we hoped and more! . . . and even more on top of what we hoped for . . . Additionally, the support, guidance and assistance we received was above and beyond what we've experienced from any app. THANK YOU!!! Really useful app for my needs - I wanted to do a "spend $.." and received a free gift. The support is great and the guys integrate the app for you and are ready to answer any queries you may have. Highly recommended

It's the first time that I offer a free gift with every candle bought and I've used the app to allow me to do that. I launched an email campaign to promote the offer and the result has been amazing. I didn't realise my customers would be so engaged with this offer. So glad I purchased Seccomap. They offer great support and since it's a monthly fee, I'll make sure that I use the app regularly. I haven't tried all the different options but it seems pretty good as it's based on setting conditions so it allows a lot of flexibility.

Spent 3 hours trying to decode the install instructions as they are in very poor English. After 4 hours we had the app installed but the app didn't work. If you are looking for an app that automatically offers 2 for 1 deals at the checkout by auto deducting deal at the checkout this app is not for you.

I wish to update my review. After installed this app for 2 months, I feel that this is a very useful apps. Another thing I wish to mention is their excellent and extensive customer support. I have issue at my checkout, I though is the free gift apps cause the issue, I ask for their help, they found out that the issue is cause by another apps, although the apps is not belong to Secomapp, but they are willing to help me solve the problem. I impress of the service. I feel they are really care for their customers. Not many developers will provide their service to this extent. I really appreciate their help. Impressed by their service. This is the best "buy x get y" free app for Shopify. Easy install (they do it for you, free), easy to customize the functionality. This app has lead to many sales for us. Also, they have the best support of any other developer I've seen. First-rate product and company!

Secomapp has been very easy to work with, quick and professional. It was easy to install Free Gifts, and it works fantastically. Secomapp installed it without any fuss within hours of us getting the app. The back end interface is easy to navigate as well, so it's been very simple to put in exactly the type of giveaways we want to use. It is capable of automatically keeping inventory levels updated, and it also looks great on the front end of the website. Very polished and effective app. I am impressed.
