What seems to have started with the right foot forward, has turned to be a nightmare. The only reason I'm leaving a 1 star review is because I can't go lower. I'm on the paid version still on trial, and despite over a week of back and forth with not 1 but 3 support agents plus some others from Shopify, it seems no one can figure out why Shopify isn't connecting to ShipStation. Frustrated of the lack of knowledge on ShipStation's part pointing fingers at Shopify doesn't begin to express it. I will change my review once I can get someone knowledgeable enough to figure this out, as it seems the people in support have no clue what's happening.

I’ve been using ShipStation for the past six months and have really enjoyed it—until I ran into a major issue two days ago that was preventing me from purchasing labels. It seemed like a unique problem, and I wasn’t sure they’d be able to find a solution. I was just about to make the decision to permanently switch away from ShipStation. However, Gabriela R., my implementation manager from six months ago, dedicated two full days to resolving the issue and found a solution. I’m incredibly grateful for the level of dedication and support they provide through employees like her.

Shipstation support is a joke. They are foolish, ignorant, and will waste your time with multiple basic responses that are as useless as asking if the computer is turned on... IYKYK. Unfortunately this is NOT a 1 time occurrence, it is the norm. For example, I submitted a bug report where the packing slip is literally printing the words "[notes from buyer]" instead of the actual notes from buyer field contents for random orders. I submitted PICTURES of an actual printed packing slip of what it looks like when it generates correctly, and another picture of what it looks like with incorrect generation. I pay extra for an upgraded plan to be able to customize my packing slips. I created this packing slip about 8+ YEARS ago. Shipstations response? Their "answer" is that they do not help with HTML. Uuuuuhm NO this is NOT an HTML issue whatsoever, and they'd know this if they looked at my example pictures even just once. JUST ONCE. LOOK. AT. THE. PICTURES! If I did the HTML wrong I would not have an example of a correct packing slip generation, right? This is just ONE packing slip template that's affected, and it's random orders. But it'll be a miracle if I have to waste less than 10 emails just to get them to even check out the bug. The crazy thing is that back in the day, around 10+ years ago an English speaking USA based support rep used to pick up the phone and call you. Imagine that! Hey there, thank you for your review! The integration is straight-forward but lacks the ability to configure it to specific needs. For example, we operate a warehouse that both ships and provides for local pickup. The integration will not import anything without a shipping address, so we can't use it for operations (only shipping). Additionally, the frequency of sync is variable. It is fast in the morning, but slow in the afternoon (busy time). You can manually sync, but again that isn't a good operational solution. Hi there, thank you for your review! This is the 3rd shipping platform I've used with Shopify. ShipStation is by far the best. All of the big shipping platforms contract for very similar rates, so for me its not about saving money. ShipStations support is where they shine. I've never had an outage for more than an hour or so and have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes to talk to support, even on weekends or off hours.

WORST customer service. Shipstation worked great till they switched to Parcel Guard. They ended up costing us thousands of dollars in damages for one shipment. We have double automatic insurance rules on our account, but what they don't advertise is that if you ship more than one package in a shipment, they automatically turn off your insurance. Been back and forth with customer service for months over the issue. Cancelled our account because of how much money we lost. Said they were going to give us a refund, went silent for weeks, stopped responding to our emails then a new support person popped back in after we cancelled and said sorry to see you go and no refund. Terrible integration with Shopify. - If an order is edited (products change, address updated, notes added etc) that edit in Shopify does not flow over to Shipstation. So as a small business owner I need to make the edits twice. - I have two different warehouses and Shopifys split shipping is not supported as an integration with Shipstation. - I have an app on Shopify that makes beautiful, branded packing slips and invoices. But these do not travel over to Shipstation so my packages have this totally mediocre packing slip thats not on-brand for my upscale company. - I sell wholesale on Faire and while Faire and Shopify integrate beautifully when the orders flow through to Shipstation they are all screwed up with testers not registering properly and discounts showing up in a very confusing way. So every time I get a wholesale order through Faire I need to manually email them the packing slip so they can pick and fill correctly. I love my warehouse but wish they did not need to use Shipstation. I feel Shipstation does not care one bit about the business using Shopify, only about the warehouses. This app will use to be great. It now crashes during each print attempt. You have to login and reset multiple times per day. Submitting tickets to directly to ship station results in fast responses but no results. This is no benefits to either party. Learn how to print labels Stationstation and stop crashing. Stop releasing new UI's and focus on basics that improve time. As you can see I have been using this app for many years and they can and should be doing better.. Thank you for your review! There are a few connectivity issues that should be fixed but other than that we are super happy we switched from Shippo to Ship Station. Love the added functionality and most of the scale integration. Has improved our shipping efficiency tremendously!

I will update my review if the support team has a resolution for printing more than 20 labels at a time. If we print more it will skip or miss orders. we called and they sent documents for us to read regarding our printer. Do we have a printer issue or shipstation issue? contact daniel@hairillusion.com
