The SB Custom Product Personalizer app consistently underperforms. Throughout our use, the app repeatedly froze, crashed, and failed to load critical features. Functionality was inconsistent, with key elements like layer previews, image rendering, and custom text inputs breaking without explanation or any apparent fixes in updates. Numerous bugs persisted across different browsers and devices, indicating deep-rooted issues in the codebase. There was no visible quality assurance or regression testing behind releases. Even basic tasks like saving custom designs or syncing changes would stall or trigger error messages. Communication with support was inefficient and disorganised. Response times were slow, and technical inquiries were often met with vague or copy-paste replies. Follow-ups would go unanswered for days, and tickets were closed prematurely without resolution. The onboarding that was promised during signup was inadequate. It lacked structure, depth, and professionalism. We were left with minimal guidance and had to troubleshoot the platform largely on our own. Overall, the product felt like an unfinished prototype rather than a dependable, production-level solution.

I really like this app because it presents a very simple, easy-to-understand user interface to my customers. It meets my business need when it comes to easily allowing my customers to make their custom design. They also responded fast after 3 days from the time I emailed them (they're off on that weekend). And they solved my tech problem in relation to their app. The things that didn't meet my business need was it currently only supports the store's default currency, when my store supports multi-currencies. I also do not know how it integrates to my preferred print-on-demand provider, although the product description in the Shopify app store says that they do support it. I'll definitely reconsider this app in the near future, when those business needs above are timely addressed. If you don't have those business needs like mine, then this app maybe for you! I've been working with app for a while now. I really don't know if this app is just conflicted with my theme which is Flow or if the app is just has bugs. When I try to upload image for clipart they don't load or appear not to load. The load indicator looks like the image are trying to load but takes forever. I just end up exiting. When I pick it up later another day then some appear to have loaded in the editing software. When I go to the website to test if I can select the image nothing appears the category shows up but no images appear. Tech support seams to originate in India so the times at night that I work on the website I really do get any help. I really don't understand the glowing review as my experience has been very disappointing. I hope management reads this and address the issues so that I can provide a more positive review. I would really like the program to work well for me but I keep running into a brick wall. Update: Things are starting to work but I haven't do anything different. Hopefully they will continue to work. I am continuing to update images. If thing continue to work I'll update my rating. to 4 stars Thank you for sharing your experience and updated review. So far so good. I was having trouble getting my variants to sync with the customizer app so I reached out to support. They went in and fixed it for me. Just added it to the website so we will see what the customers thing but as far as support goes, they have been great. On the first day, I was pleased with the customer service. However, on the second day, when I had additional questions, the response time was noticeably slower. I inquired about extra features and was informed that while these were available, they required an upgrade to a higher-tier plan ($49.99 per month). I accepted the higher price on the condition that I would receive the requested features. Unfortunately, after waiting two days for a demo without any follow-up, I decided to switch my custom product designer to “CUSTOMIFY.” I now find that this new design editor (Customify) better meets my needs and includes all the necessary features.
