UPDATED 9/15/2024 Appstle did eventually fix the problems we had, and has been functioning flawlesslly since. They have also provided excellent customer service since fixing all issues. I would have given 5 stars exept for the issues we had that took too long to fix. UPDATED 9/19/23 I initially gave Appstle Membership 5 stars. We have been using Appstle Membership since the end of February. Unfortunatley we are still having kinks that need to be worked out, that have supposedly been fixed, the biggest issue are tags not being removed from customers when their cancelled memberships expire, which gives customers unpaid for access to membership content. I have put an ultimatum on the line and if the app isn't working properly, I will be back to shopping fo an App to handle our membership needs, which I am not looking forward to as migrating from one app to the next is a huge pain and takes a lot of time and energy. Wow! We are a Membership/Subscription model for accessing digital content on our website. We were using ReCharge, but found lack of support, continuos issues, and the need to add apps and work arounds to have our Memberships managed well to be too much with what we were paying to ReCharge. I researched Appstle, and initially wanted to move to their subscription platform, but they recommended with my needs the Membership App would be better. The migration went incredibly smooth, without disrupting our customers access to content, and we were able to get rid of 2 other apps that were needed with ReCharge because gating the content, and accurate tagging are taking place in Appstle Memberships. Best of all, the customer can cancel their membership at anytime, and keep access to the content until their membership expires! We also find that the customer interface is more intuitive, and functions correctly, so I am not getting emails from customers asking me to help them cancel their memberships, because it isn't working. The support we receive from Appstle is top notch. I do not need to create work arounds to have my site function the way it was intended. I wish we would have started with Appstle Memberships first.

I recently evaluated this app for my business, and I've encountered several issues that have impacted my experience: 1. Tag Management: When a customer cancels their membership, their tags remain on the Shopify customer list, and there is no option to remove them. 2. Perk Access: Even after logging out on any browser, the discount perks remain active, allowing anyone to access them without restriction. 3. Discount Limitations: The app only allows one discount perk per member and does not support applying multiple perks or setting limits. This limitation prevents customization for different membership tiers. 4. Customer Service Experience: Initially, I was pleased with the customer service. However, I encountered issues when granting temporary access to a support representative. Despite "Uri's" efforts, multiple customer profiles were erroneously added to my list. I am unable to delete these profiles due to the app’s limitations on tag removal. Based on these challenges, I am considering switching to a different app and would not recommend this one at this time.

Customer support came online within 2 mins, and within 5 my config was sorted. Super helpful and fast. Really makes a difference amongst a sea of sketchy apps with terrible documentation and now support. These guys are the opposite. Super good.

We recently moved our little (not-for-profit) Shopify based membership system over to Appstle, so as our organisation membership base grew, we could better support them. Appstle lived up to our expectations- not only did they help us migrate our membership list and set up our plans, even when some of our members (slipped through the gaps) during the test periods and transfer, they went out of their way to help us resolve the issue.
