The support from Yoast is first class and the app gives meaningful feedback you can immediately action to improve SEO. I have attended a one-day conference with awesome speakers, some webinars and I find their blogs very readable and informative. As a complete beginner on SEO, the Yoast app has really made a difference and given me confidence. The red, amber and green bullets are brilliant, especially as they come with useful advice and links giving further detail. I tried a couple of other SEO apps available via Shopify first but neither was anywhere near as good as this one. Thank you!

Delighted with this app, I don't understand the bad reviews. I have been a user of Yoast SEO on WordPress for years and was waiting for it to be on Shopify. Now I can finally optimise the content as I always have, as SEO Yoast tells you in each article, page or product what elements you need to add to improve SEO. It has more options than the free version of WordPress (which was already more than enough for SEO work). As it should. I would like to add that it does not allow you to analyse the SEO of secondary languages, but this is not Yoast SEO's fault. Shopify doesn't have multi-language as well implemented as WordPress. But I was able to translate the homepage meta-data with Langify. Everything else is well translated with Langify. All in all, I'm happy and I still have a lot of optimisation work ahead of me, as the SEO app I had before in Shopify didn't give me (by far) the amount of guidelines that Yoast SEO does. By the way, the technical support is very attentive, and they solved some small doubts I had. They have only been with Shopify for a short time but it's clear that they're keen to keep improving. 5 stars.

Love the app! Used Yoast SEO on wordpress...so glad they came over to Shopify. Not sure what the negative reviews are about...we are loving it already. Makes SEO so much easier...just follow the instructions carefully during setup. Shopify makes things a little more tricky for SEO stuff, but this app is awesome as long as you follow the steps. We already are seeing an increase on different blog posts, pages, etc

This app is very easy to use. It is amazing in improving the readability of my product descriptions and on-page SEO. It is suitable for beginners and advanced users.

Not Happy with this app at all and the cost just doesnt justify anything. I already am familar with SEO and thought this might help improve but instead of helpding boost SEO, it rather deranked my site position on google. It has nothing but just a bunch of knowledge book regarding SEO- which are freely available but they make it a point to charge free content. Seriously this is not worth the cost and they should just get out of shopify and stick with wordpress, it does more harm than good.

I am happy with this app. I am very much a newbie when it comes to SEO so I learned a lot from the introductory webcast of Yoast for Shopify. It takes a little getting used to like anything else that is unfamiliar. The app kind of trains you further as you start using it as it explains not only the steps you should take at a particular point, but also why. The more I use it, the better I think I am at it, because I almost know beforehand when I enter verbiage that will get the red frowny face and am learning how to quickly fix it. I have accessed Yoast Academy as well which is great, and the one time I needed support chatting with Adetola was very helpful. I recommend it! Excited to see some results from my work!

TOAST! That's what this app should be called — because that's what it will do to your site — turn it into TOAST. After loading this bug filled destructive app to our site we started getting ERROR messages from Google (which never happened before). This poorly constructed app wrecked our SEO Schema. But wait it gets worse... Look under the hood. The Yoast app fills your site with asset after asset — which will slow your site down. To remove Yoast, you will need to surgically remove multiple assets from your site code to restore your site to a pre-Yoast condition. Avoid this app at all costs if you care about your SEO and/or your website. This app is NOT ready to be released on Shopify. RESPONSE TO THE DEVELOPER'S REPLY BELOW: Thank you for reaching out. Sadly though, this is a case of a company trying to varnish over a flawed product. This app is terrible / from the way it handles meta description editing, to the way it messes up SEO schema, to the glut of code rubbish it injects into the site... This app is simply not a stable or suitable product for Shopify sites. And based on the ratio of low ratings on the Shopify App store, I'm obviously not the only one who feels this way.

NO BULKEDIT (available in wordpress for 4 times less price)- maybe only for new site. I installed Yoast after waiting a long time to be available also on shopify. Installing it on a production site i got panic as i saw myself without control of my seo work as everything was overwritten and there was no control possible. Having 8k+ products it was not a good experience. Comunication with support unfortunetly is not 24/7 because we are in different timezones so no immediate reply was possible.

Je connaissais l'outil sur Wordpress, j'ai donc voulu l'essayer sur shopify mais quand je l'ai désinstallé tous mes changements ont été supprimés. 14 jours à travailler le SEO pour rien grâce à YOAST ! Finalement c'est payer et garder son boulot ou supprimer et tout perdre... J'ai donc cherché ailleurs.

I'm a big fan of Yoast on wordpress and so happy to see it in the Shopify store It works a lot like Yoast on Wordpress which is a good thing I've tried many SEO apps for Shopify but this one is the best Support is super fast answering within a few hours even on weekends I hope it helps with my SERP's, time will tell. But so far I like a lot what I see.

Please do not completely judge Yoast by the reviews below. I feel they are a little misinformed as the issues mentioned could have been fixed by duplicating and downloading code etc. and Yoast does have an easy button to remove theme modifications in one click. I have used Yoast with Wordpress previously and am so happy there is now a Shopify integration! I have contacted the support team about six times during set up and they have been nothing but friendly, professional and have seriously gone out of their way to help me. I honestly feel the fee is worth the price with the free educational tools which are available and the fantastic support from the customer service team. I already feel my site has improved due to this app and it confirms the SEO changes I am making are effective. Finally, it’s important to realise nothing is perfect when starting out, but it’s how you deal with the problems that makes the difference. The Yoast team have already started fixing an initial bug that was mentioned and I feel the speed of getting it sorted is excellent. Thank you so much for all your help - and shout out to Jose and Michael who have helped me with numerous questions!

When an app is uninstalled it should revert the site back to its original state without any effort by the user. We have now spent a few hours cleaning up the mess that was left. Modified files are left for you in their modified state. The backed up files are there, however you will have to spend plenty of time reverting the original file back to its original state.

A much awaited app that - sadly - overwrites ALL your manual SEO work automatically without leaving you any manual control. You can't leverage your hand-written efforts (title/metadescription), because the app override everything with its structure. You don't even get questions on what to overwrite and when, it just "handles" it. Probably good if you have no manual SEO efforts, but pointless if you want to automate some and have a hands on approach on some. The other benefits of the app was not tested (schema etc) simply because the app was deleted instantly when realizing there are no manual control (or even a warning the automation overwrite everything). Only upside is that you can revert all automation with a button and luckily, get your manual work back.
