I have no graphic design skills beyond using Canva and while at first it was a little intimidating to start from scratch (I'm used to more plug & play templates), after the tutorials and playing around with templates learning how to accomplish certain design elements, I love the app.

I was pretty inexperienced when I first started setting up my website in Shopify. I am not a developer and know just some of the basics of coding. If it wasn't for Shogun, my website would have been absolutely horrendous. The platform is pretty simple, mostly just drag and drop. Being able to toggle between computer, tablet, and mobile screen settings helps me feel more at ease about what my customers are seeing. If you are going to stick it out with Shopify, and you aren't very good at coding, save your time and energy and just use Shogun.

So....Shopify doesn't tell you that you really need a "page builder" app to have better control over your pages, the formatting, spacing, etc. Once I found that out and tried SHOGUN, it was soooooo much easier than trying to edit the page in Shopify. Most all of our pages are now edited in SHOGUN. It's easy, intuitive and quick. I highly recommend SHOGUN for your page builder app.

What can I say about Shogun accept that the platform and support staff are phenomenal. Here are the highlights that I would point out for anyone considering using Shogun whether they have zero technical skills or are well versed with building e-commerce websites/shopify sites/ landing pages/ etc. 1. First and foremost the support staff is highly responsive with real-time live chat support (during business hours), very knowledgeable about their platform, and just amazing overall. I’ve been able to successfully trouble shoot issues with the help of the support staff in real-time on multiple occasions, which is a huge time saver. Most recently, one of their support staff members, Charles, really helped me out by quickly resolving a 3rd party integration issue that was beyond my scope of knowledge or skill. 2. The Shogun editor itself is naturally intuitive to use. This means you can get started quickly creating a customized Shopify page whether your end goal is simple or advanced. I’ve used plenty of WIZIWIG web editors’ before and this one stands out especially bc it runs on top of Shopify. 3. They have plenty of resource videos along with a good resource library to help you get up to speed on using the platform regardless of your technical skill level. It has helped save me a lot of time when I want to implement something new on Shopify using the Shogun platform. 4. It has the ability to integrate with other 3rd party apps that may or may not directly integrate with Shopify. That means you can create a variety of solutions like advanced sales funnels, do AB testing, and or lead generation for email marketing that sync all in one place. So a solution you’re after may require multiple services/ platforms it can all integrate under one roof with Shogun given that it runs on top of the Shopify platform. Huge time saver and headache reliever across the board. Bottom line, in my opinion, Shogun is worth the money without question and I would recommend it to anyone.

The app is relatively easy to use. The support is quick which is good, but it does appear to be robotic replies leading you to other video tutorials rather than looking at the actual problem and solution. There's still room for improvements. For one, headers and footers cannot be changed on shogun. If you build with one theme install, you will lose all shogun "pages" if you go with a different theme. Secondly, the tab functions could be better and more modern. Thirdly, using other apps shows to be a bit of a problem. Overall, it's satisfactory if you want some flexibility but lots of room for improvement. I think they are heading towards the right directions.

Shogun is easy to use and offers quick editing. The app really helped improve our blog articles and product pages. Since downloading Shogun, we have been able to design more meaningful landing pages.

Super easy to use, super fast respond and the BEST customer service ever! I used to use another popular we building app but Shogun is way better! Strongly recommended

Sorry, but I don't understand how to use this App. Two many sections, heading, boutons, you get lost easily. It was a complete lost of time.

I've been very impressed with Shogun. I had never worked with Shopify pages and .liquid programming before so it allows me to build really nice, custom-designed pages in Shopify that I wouldn't be able to do with just a store-bought template. It's pretty easy to learn and the interface is nice and clean. I think as it grows and matures as an app it will get even better. I'm looking forward to more features as the come out. Most of all I have to give it up to the support team of Shogun. They have been very courteous with me during my numerous questions to them. They are also FAST at solving and/or finding alternate solutions to the issues that I contact support about. A lot of companies have terrible support, but with Shogun you get the feeling that they actually CARE about you and the issues at hand. A great experience so far. I hope it continues!

They have been harassing me nonstop since I posted a non 5-star review, so now it’s a 1 star review. Downloaded to add related products to select product pages. They are added in a 'Shogun' format, however much that may clash with your store's look. Otherwise intuitive and lovely for landing pages. Tough to justify @ $40/mo

I used shogun to do my weekly blog post and the help team are very helpful and prompt in resolving any issues that I encountered. I appreciate it very much, thanks again!

Straight foward and very easy to use in general, however I would like the app to be completely integrated with the actual admin back-end.

Simply the best app. Now I've added it to my second store and the staff has helped me transfer over pages from one site to this one. Highly recommend over and over again :)

Shogun extends Shopify's layout & design capabilities significantly and their support is excellent. If you're looking for ways to say more on any type of content in Shopify (page, blog, product, collection, homepage), you've found the right tool in Shogun. I chose Shogun on the strength of the community reviews and ratings, and wasn't disappointed.

Shogun is solid! Makes page building super simple. Highly recommended. I'd love to see some more element options. However, you may use HTML for other custom additions.

This is the best visual editor of the top three rated that I tried. It has the best support by far, the most easy to use interface, and is stable. Got my pages up and going in a day. Had questions as I went and got responses within a few hours. All features I needed are working great. Highly recommend this app over all other visual editors including Gems (horrible service and my pages kept disappearing).

Duuuuuuuuuudes... This app makes your site LOOK like a professional made it. And the customer support... I have a 100+ email thread going on with them. If you're somehow more design inept than me, SUPPORT will go out of their way to make sure you know how to do it. This is not only the best app on the Shopify app-store, but it's a Theme-developer killer. Why buy an expensive theme? I know I'll never buy a theme again.

The "add product collection" section (which is a huge part of a home page), is a terrible native design. The pictures don't line up, because the text from the title can't be aligned. The way Shopify builds their collection pages is beautiful. It's a shame I can't use that feature and just skip Shogun's collection snippet altogether. I can't make a home page with a collection section looking as bad as Shogun's does natively. Also the drag and drop feature only works like half the time. I've had to switch browsers back and forth a few times already because it doesn't register that I'm dragging a block. The collection page is what really is disappointing though. UPDATE: I have changed my review after some support from their team. The last 2 hours in my browser, I have had little to no trouble with the drag and drop. I'm not sure why it was messing up, but it seems better now. Also, the solution for the collection was to keep my homepage in the Shopify native builder, but add "pages" in Shogun where there were elements I wanted to change. This allows me to keep Shopify formatting I like, but customization in other elements that Shogun offers. Prompt response from support, and thoughtful answers. Changed from 1 to 4 stars

I used this app to make alot of my custom pages and it worked great. Glitches were addressed & fixed immediately by their team.

He couldn't fix the problem because it was a custom CSS issue, but he was very quick to respond regarding the issue and was as helpful as possible! Thank you!
