The main thing you should consider before using Pixels for dropshipping is that they have basically no customer service in my experience. If you have issues...good luck getting a response or any timely advice on how to troubleshoot. Compared to other dropshippers, they do not have a modern or user friendly interface. For example, when a customer places an order on my shop, it can take hours..days...before there is update on Pixels about whether this order was received. It's frustrating to not even see the progress until the order is actually being fulfilled because it makes you think that you order hasn't been received at all. Have had much better experience overall with Printful.

I've only used this app and POD supplier twice, but both times the products were produced and shipped quickly. I got the wood, acrylic, metal and canvas prints and all turned out brilliantly. I recently ran into a problem with the app not opening up correctly. I emailed tech support and with in a few hours I had a response. Followed their suggestions and BOOM! I was off and running again. So far I have had nothing but positive contact with this vendor and highly recommend them.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. There are many issues with this app. But the worst is that somehow FAA picked up a very old archived test order and created a new order on their end. The first we knew about it was being billed through our credit card. There was no emails no notifications. We attempted to stop this order with them multiple times, with multiple emails. Noone answered. We still have not had any response after 1 month. So we are out 100's of dollars because of their app that does not work and customer service that doesn't respond.

I have been using the Pixels app since 2018 and definitely recommend this app. Pixels prints with outstanding quality and fast shipping times. Our Shopify store currently offers prints, home décor, and accessories with the Pixels app. Here is a little background as to why we chose Pixels as our primary POD company to work with. I am a 2nd generation graphic artist. We started a family business in 1992, specializing in high end, high volume screen printing on apparel. 100% of our work was in-house from new artwork generation, to separating the print colors, printing film positives, stretching screens, exposing and reclaiming screens, etc. Our press ran 8 color simulated process designs at 70 dozen shirts per hour with a 0.01% misprint ratio. Typical across the industry was 30 doz/hr with a 2% misprint ratio. Our ‘down time’ between jobs was 16 minutes to clear one set of screens, set up the next job and have a perfectly printed shirt in hand. The industry average was about an hour. It was like a Formula One racing pit stop. I was Production Manager and Quality Control Officer and created our Standard Operating Procedures. In 1998 we opened a retail store in a very busy tourist/resort town. All of our retail products were printed in our production shop. In 2003 we added dye sublimation to our product line. In 2008 we added a 44”, 12 color printer to print large format prints for our store. Matting and framing was also a part of the process. Our first e-commerce store began in 2003, offering both print on demand items and pre-printed items. When considering POD apps for our Shopify Store, I ordered samples and was impressed with the quality of the products from Pixels and decided to use Pixels and am fully committed. I have not been disappointed. As a bonus, each month I receive sales from Fine Art America which is something that no other app can offer. The added sales channel can be very profitable. I am very happy to have chosen Pixels as my primary POD app on Shopify!

Simple, easy to use, great support - been using for many years! If I had to add a suggestion, it would be to auto-sync products within Shopify when there are updates to the items, for example when newer phone case options become available, to make it so that new products don't have to be made from scratch.

**** UPDATE 1/1/2022: For at least a month, I get an error (SSL certificate expired) when I try to get to the app. I cannot update my credit card, therefore, any orders that I get from customers are dead in the water (I am helpless & cannot fulfill the orders). Have exchanged many emails but Pixels unable to fix error. Shopify help chat says it's not an issue on my end. **** Pixels has the best selection of wall art types in just about any size imaginable. Using their app, I can add MANY sizes of art all at once to my store. I keep my own list of pricing on hand so I can easily go through and edit the default prices. Tech support is very good if you know who to contact (Alex!).

The worst experience ever! I cancelled the last order, refunded customer & uninstalled their app, yet they keep trying to charge my card and email me hundreds of messages every day for 2 months now. I got over 1000 messages from Pixels with the title "Urgent - Shopify Order on Hold - Invalid Payment Method". I am stuck. It’s a system glitch that Pixels need to fix. I can’t do anything on my end and support just stopped responding. I had to cancel my card, but I am not sure what to do about the email. I can’t change it because I have business cards printed with that email address. It’s an absolute nightmare!

Don't be like me and waste time and money on this app/service. I ordered a print once before from Pixels and the quality of the print was great so I was excited about setting up a Shopify store to start selling my photography prints with Pixels as my PoD supplier. I went through building my Shopify storefront and uploading all of my photos to Pixels, and setting all of the prices; I even paid for an annual premium subscription to be able to upload more than 25 photos. Additionally, you have to (at a minimum) pay over $300 to make your Shopify account an annual plan and get Custom Carrier Shipping. The problem is: Custom Carrier Shipping does not integrate as advertised. I contacted customer support, where I was asked by Abbie to add a member of the Pixels team to my Shopify store as a staff member. I did so, and it has since been over a week since I have heard anything else from Pixels customer support; despite 5 separate attempts by me to follow up. All this while customer orders are piling up in my store, but I am unable to ship thanks to Pixel's insufficient app. 3 of my follow-up attempts were by email; 2 by phone. There is no phone # listed on the Pixels site to contact support, so I had to hunt around online for a bit first. The one number I was able to find took me to Dominique from customer support - only not on this end of the business. At first I was told that since I had sent an email that day, I was required to wait 24 hours for a response before they could assist me; which made no sense given that I had not heard from them on prior emails for over a week. I told Dominique I would call back in 24 hours. I did, and she said actually there is nothing she can do anyways because she doesn't work in the end of the business. I asked to be transferred to someone who did and she was unable to do that. I asked to speak to a manager and she said that the only way to contact any manager was through email (as I had been doing, without response). I sent one final email strongly expressing my frustration with Pixels' inability to provide reasonable, 2021 standard customer service, and offering a chance to redeem themselves to win my business. Again, I had ordered prints directly through Pixels, and was satisfied with the print itself so I would have liked to work with them. But this attempt to restore the relationship was to no avail, as once again, I received no response. Not even a "we're still working on it..." Heed the negative reviews on this app. Do not make the same mistake I did giving them the benefit of the doubt.

The selection of products, the availability of true print sizes and the superior quality of finished pieces make Pixels the best in the industry. Professional quality print-on-demand all the way around. In the rare times we have had a question or an issue, customer service has been responsive and helpful. Update since June 2020 It is now almost the end of January 2021 and after going back and forth with both Shopify support and Abby at Pixels, the app is still not working. Abby says the issue needs to be addressed by their app developer who seems to really not care. I have not ones heard from this developer! Even though the app pulls in my products it does not add them to the Shopify store. I even took a video showing what the app does before it quits to make things easier for the developer to figure out what the problem might be. Yet there is absolutely no response. Don't bother with installing this app, there is no support and it does not work. Review from June 2020 Support leaves a lot to be desired. I had Pixels before I updated my theme and thereby have many products linked. After the update products no longer upload to Shopify and support is basically ignoring my requests for help.

Although the quality of the products was good and the ease of adding products to my site was nearly seamless, with a lot of options, I don't recommend Pixels. I had to check pricing for each order as they over-charged me often, they don't charge tax or offer branding, they have limited and inaccurate information about their products and when they had lost or delayed orders-which happened a lot, they responded rudely, if at all. I do not recommend getting tangled up with this app.

The number of items is being limited even though the store has unlimited items. I have reached out to customer support 2 times with no response at all. If they can't find time to help me on this, how are they going to resolve product/customer based concerns? The app is very limiting in frame and mat choices as well. The concept is there, but they have a long way to go in execution.

I thought I would update my review as it's two years later and, with COVID19 it might be helpful. Firstly, this app has allowed my to make sales of my artwork to anywhere in the world, with very few issues. What issues there were customer service has always been helpful. Recently a delivery in the UK was sent back to the printers in Scotland and my customer was having trouble getting it delivered. I called CS in the US (I am in Canada) and once it was sent back to the printers they arranged to have it resent out in 24 hours. My customer was very happy. When printing was delayed because of Covid and reduced shifts they apologized and the art was sent out within the week. Overall they have always tried to help, the exception is usually when they cannot answer a particular question as it may be something technical. This app has helped me both beautifully display and sell my art at the price I want to sell it at. For certain non-art items the base prices are quite high, however I have checked on other sites and there isn't that much difference... still the same today - and with less comfort on shipping timelines. I just don't offer those through my store. My ask for the app developers is to update their app and also allow more frame options to show in Shopify for framed prints, especially the fancy frames. Canvases are my best sellers so this isn't major but we are missing on opportunity with the ability to only show black or white frames. Updated Sept 8 2020. Having researched several apps I was for my art store Pixels is by far the best. It is easy to populate my store with my artwork and makes it easier for the customer to order and get their art from my store. Given how complicated shipping is on Shopify, Pixels makes it very simple. Their printing and finishing are flawless and they ship speedily with tracking. Because of this app I can ship my art anywhere in the world with peace of mind and can focus on creating my art and marketing to my customers. As an artist, where there is a dearth of reliable drop shipping options for us this app is pretty much the reason I am able to use Shopify to showcase and deliver my artwork - and I did extensive research into several other drop shipping apps. Alex Young is also very responsive and quickly answered all my questions so that I was up and running very quickly. Pixels customer service is also efficient and follows up to get any issues resolved if they come up. This app works seamlessly with Shopify, enables me to sell my art on a range of beautiful finishes without having to hold stacks of expensive inventory, works as it says it does and, together with Shopify, makes life so much easier for me and my customers... and it's free! It is my favourite Shopify App for all of the above. I compared their prices with other drop shipping options... taking into consideration time to ship (some well-known outfits take 10 days to 3 weeks) ease of use and the fact that these are not batch items, but single items and overall, while I would love lower base prices on larger home decor items, they really are not that far out for one of a kind art, especially since they get shipped at local shipping rates within a week on average. I hope that FAA brings on more items, such as socks, tapestries, badges and clocks, which are perfect for gifts. I have found Pixels to be a great app and am very happy with it.

I am not sure what is going on with this app because they used to be GREAT. Now half the time orders aren't processed or for some reason aren't sent over? It is utterly frustrating and this app has cost me more money than it should. Also, their pricing for t-shirts is misleading and the actual cost is much higher so if you don't pay attention or think that your mark up is high enough, you may be actually losing money with each sale. For two years I have tried diligently to work with the people and the app at pixels. It’s been a nightmare to say the least I’ve lost many of my good customers due to the fact that their customer service just tells you anything and then it’s usually not true when the package is going to come when it was sent . If they say they sent the package Andwhen it doesn’t come they make you wait 30 days before they’ll will give you a refund then you have to still reorder the item.Then they’ll tell you that I will refund you for the second order often times you don’t even get the refund then they tell you they’re going to send your package out you never still never get it. There is no real customer service it takes an average of 4 to 7 days to get a reply when you inquire about a missing package or why something didn’t ship . The customer service agent will repeatedly ask you in the email the next day the same question that you responded to the day before and then the following day ask you the very same question once again Yes it’s really that bad! You can try to get help from management but it only falls on deaf ears I tried to let the director of Business Alex Young know about these issues several times and nothing changed in fact it only got worse. On one phone conversation he told me to “Kick my can down the Road” It’s wrong that they believe they can treat the artist that funnel the sales to their websites in this way it’s so wrong to treat the customers that support everyone this way. I have an order I’m waiting for them to send out it’s been over 2 months now and I am still asking when are you going to send it? They say we don’t know??? Can you believe that? Don’t waste your time and energy my friends. I read the other reviews and thought it can’t be that bad , No it’s actually much worse than any one has said here. I could go on and on But I’m sure you get the point this company down not care about you or your customers. I hope me sharing my dealings with them helps saves you from the the same troubles. The support is good. They answer and address the issues. The MAJOR HOLE in this app is that its SKU numbers are beyond 80 characters, so they cannot be listed on either Amazon or eBay. Thats a HUGE setback for selling online in the 21st Century. THE PROS: you dont have to stick to standard cropping for your artwork. You can do something other than 3:2, which is what every other POD place makes you stick to, and they offer lots of awesome papers and media for your art. THE CONS: you cant really get it anywhere other than your own Shopify store, and watch the artwork languish for lack of exposure.

I'm not sure why they have a bad review. Their shipping is way faster even during covid than any of the other Print On Demand Companies and their products are AMAZING. I am a professional full time artist and have shopped many places for quality prints and they are by far the best!

Choose Pixels if you: - Want to work with an application that hasn't been updated since 2013. - Enjoy the idea of being forced to manage your products across three different websites instead of just your own. - Prefer paying 250% more for shipping than you would with any competitor app. - Don't care about being able to set the price of your products (could be $30 today, $90 tomorrow). - Prefer working with a company that has only one rude and unhelpful support person, who makes it very clear that they don't care about your problems. Don't be an idiot like me, thinking "Fine Art America, that means high-quality prints for my customers!". This app is trash. Avoid like the plague.
