# Find Shopify Brands That Just Dropped a Competitor’s App

Win the Shopify brands that just dropped a rival: find the brands that removed a competitor’s app, read what they still run, save them with the reason, and export when you’re ready to reach out.

## Workflow
### Name the rival

Search the competitor’s app. Shoplist shows how many brands run it today and how many added or removed it in the last 28 days.

### Pull the switchers

Open the removals: each row is a brand whose storefront stopped showing the app, dated the day Sonar saw it go, with the apps it still runs.

### Read what’s left

Open a brand. The stack around the gap shows who you would replace, what they integrate with, and which other categories are empty.

### Save the list with its reason

Save the brands to a list with the reason attached and re-run the removals to add new switchers. On paid plans, Shoplist also watches each saved brand for stack changes.

### Export and reach out with a reason

Export the list to CSV for your CRM or outbound tool. The reason travels with each row: what they removed, when, and what they run now.

## Frequently asked questions
### How accurate is app detection?

Very accurate. When Shoplist detects an app on a store, that detection is effectively 100% right — a confirmed install you can build outreach on, not a guess. Coverage is comprehensive and growing, and every detection comes from public signals. The data methodology page explains how it works.

### Can I exclude brands that already use my app?

Yes. Each switcher row lists the apps the brand still runs, so you can leave out the ones already on your app before you save the list.

### What do I get in the export?

A CSV of the saved switchers: each brand, the app it removed and when, and what it runs now. Exports are on paid plans and their size scales with plan tier; current limits are on the pricing page.

### Does this include contact details?

Social, people, and contact data appear where available, but coverage varies and Shoplist does not promise verified contacts for every brand. Many teams pair Shoplist segments with a dedicated contact-data tool for enrichment.

### How is this different from buying a lead list?

A purchased list is a stale snapshot with no reasoning. This list is built from dated removals and keeps the reason on every row; on paid plans each saved brand is monitored, so you hear when its stack changes again.
