I downloaded a few pre-order apps before this one, but wasn't happy until i used Kaktus. I like that it lets you select individual product variants. It's easy to use and does exactly what i need it to. Customer support is also great.

App is a one click install, it tags order as pre-order on back-end and front. You can choose for it to display on products separately, by collection, or choose all out of stock products. You are able to customize button & add Note under button.
